My introduction to journalism and magazine production was in the advertising department at CBS Publishing, the publications division of CBS Television Broadcasting in the United States. CBS Publishing was sold to Hachette Filipacchi Médias, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lagardère Media.
I was recruited to relaunch a regional business journal with a new editorial format. The journal achieved recognized editorial excellence within one year and was purchased by the McClatchy Company, the second largest newspaper publisher in the US.
As a member of the corporate communications team at Ingram Micro, a global distributor of hardware and software products, I wrote and edited their range of reseller publications.
Silicon Valley was my next stop, where I co-founded Ziv Communications, a San Francisco-based agency that offered copywriting and brand-building services for high-tech clients such as Apple, Cisco Systems, Oracle and Hewlett-Packard.
During this time period I was also the US news editor for the Süddeutscher Zeitung, one of Germany’s largest newspaper and magazine publishers. I interviewed executives at leading technology firms and reported on future trends in computer and product design.
After moving to Europe, I began working as a consultant with clients in France, Germany, the UK and the Netherlands. Life became even more interesting when I married a French man and became a permanent resident in Paris.
I launched my consulting practice, Architect of Communication, to develop communication solutions that help global companies to explain, promote and sell their products or services across borders.

A responsible and proactive team player, I work directly with a company’s corporate communications department, or I cooperate with their advertising or public relations agency.
